Rainbow Agro’s project on "Key Technology Development and Industrialization of Continuous Production of Captan" recently passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal organized by CPCIF (China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation), and the achievement level reached "international leading".

The experts of the appraisal committee listened to the research report, and work report of the project, reviewed the relevant technical data and gave full affirmation of the project results after questioning and discussion. On addition, the experts agreed that the project’s overall technology and equipment level reached the international leading level, with significant economic and social benefits and obvious industry demonstration and driving effect.

Based on the results of reaction kinetics research combined with advanced process intensification, the project adopts new critical reaction equipment for the first time. It completely solves the problem of reaction mass transfer and heat transfer, increasing the device's efficiency by more than 20 times compared with the original process. In addition, it increases the yield to 95%, reducing the amount of wastewater by more than 70%, significantly improving the atomic economy, and achieving the goal of green chemistry with low carbon emissions.

The whole process is designed continuously and automatically, and production efficiency is greatly improved while realizing the concept of essential safety. The high-quality kratom with a purity of over 98% and pure white crystalline appearance fully meets the demand of high-end markets such as the European Union. In industrialized application, the total cost is greatly reduced, and the economic and social benefits are very significant.

The technology has applied for seven invention patents, of which two have been granted, and two are utility model patents with independent intellectual property rights.
